Rather than moving home to get more space, why not expand the house you live in instead?
Whilst the most obvious choice would be to convert your loft or extend your house, why not make use of your often forgotten, under-used storage room and convert your garage into living space?
Most modern garages are barely big enough to allow you to open your car doors and as such most people end up parking on the road.
Plus unlike extensions and loft conversions that take a few months to complete, it usually takes three to four weeks to convert a garage.
Garage conversions can be used for any purpose. If you need an extra living room, dining room, playroom, home office or maybe you are looking for an extra bit of luxury like a cinema room or home gym, then a garage conversion can be the solution.
Converting a garage isn’t as easy as replacing the door with a window. It requires skilled workmanship and should only be completed by an experienced builder like premier conversions. You can click to view our satisfied customer testimonials.

It is unlikely that you will require planning permission. Premier conversions will check this for you and can assist you with any required paper work.

Yes, the garage conversion construction will be governed by building regulations and premier conversions work with your local council's building control department to ensure it passes all the necessary inspections.
Although it might look easy enough, converting a garage is not really a job for the average DIY enthusiast, as there is a quite a lot of work involved in making the garage into useable living space.
The foundations of the garage must be able to support the new front wall, window, roof and adjoining walls.
The existing foundations might need to be strengthened and a professional garage conversion from premier conversions will ensure that they are sufficient for this purpose.
They will also ensure that the walls are fit for purpose by ensuring they are thick enough and have the correct amount of insulation, damp proofing and if there is an adjoining wall with a neighbour then sound proofing maybe needed too.
It may also be necessary to add a suspended timber floor to ensure that the floor is inline with the rest of the property and the roof might need to have a flat roof replaced by a pitched one.
The addition of a pitched roof will enable premier conversions to board out this space to give you some storage space above the new room.
The finishing details would include the refitting of the meter and fuse box, if necessary, plus the connection of radiators to the central heating system and if the space is to be used as a kitchen, bathroom or utility room an extractor fan will need to be fitted too.
A good garage conversion will blend into the existing property and this where premier conversions are really proud of their work.

By adding additional space to your home you can add value to the home that will ensure the house is more sellable in the future.
Now your only problem is where to store the junk…..

"From the moment Premier Conversions arrived I was confident that they would do a brilliant job. It was a great surprise to me that builders could be clean. There was no mess as other people warned me there would be. They took time and trouble to leave everything as neat as possible. I would definitely recommend this company. They were so quick and efficient, 2 weeks and the job was complete."
