Will I need planning permission for my garage conversion?
Normally there is no need to apply for planning permission when converting a garage.
If, for example, your house is in a conservation area or is listed, or if you also intend to extend the size of the garage then you may need to apply for planning permission.
You must also check to see if you have any restrictive covenants in the deeds of your house, restricting the appearance of the front of the house.
We can always check this for you if in doubt and in the event garage conversion planning permission is needed, we will assist you in the process of making your planning application.
A planning application normally takes 6-8 weeks until approval is granted.
